The route is a five-mile ride, beginning at Fountain Square, that will take cyclists in and around the downtown area to showcase the many light-up displays created by the city of Bowling Green and its community members.
Anyone was welcome to enter the parade, from full fledged floats to horse drawn carriages, all that was needed was an entry fee of one new, unopened toy for Toys for Tots.
At the ceremony, a special degree was presented to the family of Kinsley Nicole DeMontigny. DeMontigny was killed in a crash on I-65 in March earlier this year.
