Kentucky Museum offers Pay As You Will program
In an effort to keep cost from being a barrier to people seeing the exhibits in the Kentucky Museum, they have begun a Pay As You Will program. Each Saturday through May 26, instead of standard admission prices, guests will make a donation in any amount to tour the museum.
In the three weeks they've been doing this, Education Curator Christy Spurlock says they've been pleased with the number of people taking advantage of the Pay As You Will program. "And we think that it's an opportunity to see exhibits such as A Culture Carried: Bosnians in Bowling Green, our upcoming U.S. Bank art exhibit," said Spurlock.
That U.S. Bank exhibit is called the Celebration of the Arts and it starts March 3rd. Spurlock says the Kentucky Museum also houses six major permanent exhibits, and if the Pay As You Will program is successful, they may extend it past May 26.
