FRANKLIN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Travis Lock, the former lawyer for Timothy Madden, was in Simpson County's courtroom Wednesday for a status hearing after he was charged last year with assault fourth degree.
Lock was arraigned last month, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He's accused of hunting on land that belonged to a friend of Troy Neal Tims.
When Tims approached Lock, Lock allegedly hit Tims with his car door and punched him in the face.
Special Judge Gabe Pendleton, of Barren County, oversaw the proceedings Wednesday after Simpson County's District Court Judge Martha Harrison recused herself from the case.
Wednesday, Lock's defense and the Commonwealth agreed on a date for a suppression hearing, set for May 8th.
