BOWLING GREEN, KY. (WBKO) --- The 61st annual Grammy Awards were tonight in Los Angeles, and a Bowling Green local was nominated for an award.
The band Foxhole in Bowling Green has played hundreds of shows and recorded three albums in the post-rock genre.
Their album Well Kept Thing was released in the fall and the artwork on the album was nominated for a Best Album Packaging Grammy Award.
The artwork was created by guitarist Adam Moore, who is also a graphic designer.
"He put together the whole package. It is letter pressed, it has got a neat texture, it has got really intricate illustrations. The record itself is really cool-looking, and just the whole aesthetic vibe that you hold in your hand, that's what we were nominated for a Grammy for," said band member Justin Shephard, who is also the owner of Spencer's Coffee in Bowling Green.
Adam and a couple others in the band attended the Grammy's Sunday night.
Even though they didn't win, they still have a lot to celebrate, and were one of only five nominated.
Adam also designed many of the logos for Spencer's Coffee downtown.
"The logo that we have right now on some of our cups and shirts and things like that. he is just a really talented artist and designer and just an amazing, great dude to boot," Shephard said.
The band began in 2001, and have stayed together ever since.
Their album is available for purchase at Mellow Matt's Music and More in Bowling Green and online.
