GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) -- A group of students and staff from the Western Kentucky University Glasgow campus are headed to the inauguration.

The group, along with students from the main WKU campus, fly to Washington D.C. on Wednesday.

The staff say they look forward to sharing a piece of history with their students.

"I remember when Kennedy was assassinated, I remember when the Shuttle blew up, I remember 9/11. Saw different things and different things in my lifetime. To be actually there, to be able to say that I saw this, is a important personal value and I hope it will be the same for the students," Academic Advisor, Richard Fitzpatrick said.

The students will be preparing something for their classmates when they come back from the trip to tell them about their experience.
