Man charged with DUI after a hit and run in Scottsville

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) -- A man is charged after a hit and run in Scottsville Friday.

According to police, a white jeep pulled out of Oliver Street making a left turn on Old Gallatin Road. Another vehicle, driven by David Rupe, came up from behind, hit the white Jeep, causing it to flip into a ditch.

The vehicle then fled from the scene, crashing about a mile away on Old Gallatin Road.

The driver of the white jeep was Jacqueline Davis of Louisville, and she was not injured.

Rupe was charged with a DUI, driving on a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident. He is being held in the Allen County Detention Center.
