FRANKLIN, Ky. (WBKO) -- A shooting Monday night left one man dead, and another in jail in Franklin.
Police received a call of a shooting on Brevard street around 8:25 p.m on Monday.
Officers say Tifton Gamble died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Samuel Allen was arrested for the shooting.
He was taken to the Simpson County Detention Center and charged with manslaughter in the first degree.
Franklin PD did not go into detail on the relationship of the two men but Lieutenant Dale Adams says they did know each other and there was an issue between them.
But Adams says the public has nothing to worry about.
"We're pretty confident that this was isolated between these two gentlemen obviously we are saddened that it resulted in a death, nobody wants that, but as far as the community goes, we don't expect any more issues in reference to this."
Lieutenant Adams says detectives are still piecing the case together.
He says the reason why Allen is not charged with murder is because it all comes down to intent.
He says police don't believe Allen intended to kill gamble ... Prior to this incident.
