The museum is marking the milestone anniversary by focusing "on the people that Corvette has brought together with a look back on the Museum’s history while looking forward to the future."

People are travelling from all over the country to celebrate and caravan together. Ray and Debbie Gastelum drove all the way from LA to join in the festivities.

"We own a corvette, it's just a lifetime trip to come out here. It's just an amazing trip. It took us six days to get here. It was a wild adventure the whole way." said Ray.

"We joined up with the caravan on Tuesday morning, we are now here after driving 400 miles. We were friends of the caravan and we were up front so it was pretty exciting." said Ray.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 tweeted an alert regarding heavy traffic and delays.
