Western Kentucky University begun the first June session for its summer term Monday. A few WKU basketball and football newcomers are enrolled and eligible to start taking classes, according to the school’s online directory.

Five-star center Mitchell Robinson, Kentucky's Mr. Basketball Taveion Hollingsworth, Austin Peay transfer Jared Savage and former Scott High star Jake Ohmer are all now Hilltoppers. Those players had all previously been announced by the WKU program.

Marek Nelson, a freshman from Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas who committed to Western Kentucky on March 13, is also enrolled at WKU. His addition has not yet officially been announced by Rick Stansbury’s program.

Mike Sanford’s new football players also began arriving this week. The first-year coach signed 18 new players in February and all 18 are currently enrolled.

Western’s second June session begins June 12 and the school also has summer terms scheduled to begin July 3 and July 10. Fall classes are scheduled to begin Aug. 21.
