Bowling Green, Ky (WBKO) --- Phil Moore Park is now a place for dogs of all sizes to roam and play.

This is the first dog park built in a Warren County park.

The park was first proposed by Warren County Parks and Recreation Department in January.

It features benches, a water station, and waste bag dispensers.

The park also includes a 40-foot-by-100-foot area for large dogs and a 40-by-80 area for small dogs. Both areas are fenced-in with two fences to ensure the dogs don't get lose.

Bowling Green's Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems contributed $10,000 to help fund the project.

"We wanted to look at something that could give back to the community and this was something that was really interesting talking to our associates it was something that they thought would be a cool idea to do so this was one that really came to the top of the list and that's why we wanted to fund it," said Matt Adams, General Manager Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems.

The whole purpose of the dog park at Phil Moore Park is to add an extra amenity to be able to provide to the citizens of Warren County.
