BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Living Hope Baptist Church held its annual "Not So Silent Night" event on Sunday night.

The kick-off to the Christmas season included bouncy houses, games, food vendors, and a festive Christmas tree lighting.

There was also a concert by "I Am They."

A large crowed showed up to take part in various parts of the event, including Avery Jones, who said, "I really enjoyed the concert. It was very, like, happy, and I really enjoyed the songs that they were singing."

Others hope that through the event, they can help spread the Christmas spirit.

"I've been having a ton of fun, lots of fun down here, everyone is super excited about it. I'm really glad with the large turnout that we've had tonight because it's just a great event. It's a way to get people in to be able to experience the love that Christ has given to us that we can give to others also," said Daniel Simon, a deacon at the church and volunteer at the event.

The night ended with a fireworks display.
