Greenville, KY – (WBKO) --- A Drakesboro man was killed in a one-car accident that took place Saturday morning in Greenville.

Police say a little after 10:00 a.m., Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville received a call of a single vehicle collision that occurred near the 4900 block of US HWY 62 W.

According to KSP, the driver of the car, 20-year-old Trevor Fleming, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle.

Troopers say for an unknown reason, his vehicle left the eastbound shoulder of the roadway, where it first hit a guardrail, and then continued until the vehicle hit a tree.

Mr. Fleming was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner. Police say alcohol or drugs are considered to be a contributing factor in the collision.

The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Justin Cornett.
