Orchestra Kentucky presenting a Christmas Spectacular

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- A Christmas Spectacular is coming to Bowling Green Saturday December 16th. SKyPAC will host the event sponsored by J.C. Kirby and Son.

It will be hosted by Reggie Smith from the Gaither Vocal Band and his wife, Ladye Love, from the Grand Ole Opry. The show will feature guest artists including the Orchestra Kentucky Chorale, and choirs from both WKU and Jody Richards Elementary, and it will look like an old-time TV Variety Show.

"This time we'll be in the orchestra pit," said Orchestra Kentucky Music Director Jeff Reed, "and the stage will be much like a Broadway stage with sets and scenery and videos."

Reed says Orchestra Kentucky is adding a Sugar Plum Brunch to the festivities, where children and their parents or grandparents can enjoy donuts and other goodies, while they meet the San Francisco Ballet dancers, Perry the Penguin, and, of course, Santa Claus. The brunch will run from 10:00 a.m. till noon on Saturday December 16.
