BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- In its 21st year, the Medical Center's Health and Wellness Expo is set to take place Saturday.
"We get calls all year round that we're still doing it and it's still going on. They're used to it, they know it's gonna be great, and again it's kind of a one-stop shop where they can get a lot of health info in all one spot," said Sarah Widener, Director or Community Wellness for Med Center Health.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at Sloan Convention Center.
By bringing together healthcare service providers, safety agencies and community organizations. The expo will offer free screenings, demonstrations, health information and more.
"Usually we see over 2,000 people. It's free, completely open to the public," said Widener. "Weather usually isn't an issue. The people come out because they love to get these things done in one spot, and they love to get these things done the first of the year."
Over 70 booths will be set up in the main ballroom at the convention center, and some in the hallway.
Blood glucose, to blood pressure, bone density, oral cancer screenings, healthy cooking and fitness demos are a few examples of what to expect.
