BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Rain, sleet, sun, or snow, the New Year's Eve Bash at Stadium Park Plaza is expected to bigger and better than in any past year.
That's according to Stadium Park Plaza president David Pinchuck.
"We really do put a lot of pride into this," he said. "We'll have thousands of people here on New Year's, easily."
Pinchuck said they've used previous years to craft a Bowling Green New Year's Eve staple.
"Every year it's fun. It's different and we learn little things and we get better each year," he said. "Last year the weather didn't really cooperate. It was freezing, freezing cold, so this year, we also splurged this year. We have a hundred-foot tent. We have heaters in the tent. We have fire pits outside."
Pinchuck added, of course, the event will be a lot of fun for adults, but it will also be bigger and better for children this year as well. The Playground at Bowling Green Ball Park will be open until 1 a.m. The same goes for the SoKy Ice Rink across the street.
"We encourage people to come down, start a new tradition this year," said Warren County Parks Director Chris Kummer, "and then as long as the rink is there, we will continue to do special events and fun nights especially around the holidays to really family-friendly functions down there at the rink."
The New Year's Eve Bash at Stadium Park Plaza will feature live music from five different bands, headlined by Twang and Round. That starts at 7 p.m. and is free to the public.
