A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has closed ramps in Ohio County.

The northeast quadrant of the Wendell Ford-Western Kentucky Parkway and William Natcher Parkway Interchange near Beaver Dam is closed.

The northeast quadrant of the Western Kentucky Parkway and Natcher Parkway interchange includes the northbound Natcher Parkway ramp to westbound W.K. Parkway and the westbound W.K. Parkway ramp to Natcher Parkway Northbound.

Closure of these ramps is the final phase of an ongoing effort to upgrade ramps around the interchange and widen lanes.

This is a continuation of rehab work along the main line of the Natcher Parkway in Ohio County that was completed last year.

For people traveling in this direction, a marked detour has been set up.

With weather permitting, the ramps are expected to open back up in the next five weeks.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and other personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
