RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) – The Russellville Police Department is warning the public of a possible scam in the area.

The scam involves people contacting residents and stating they work for the health department, then asking to inspect the home because of a report of the living conditions.

The people try to get personal information at this time, and at a later date tell the resident they will help them move to another location, and also offer to help with odd jobs. A resident’s card was stolen and used at various locations.

The suspects involved in the crime were a white and black male.

Anyone who has a similar occurrence is asked to contact Russellville Police at 270-726-7669.
