OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) -- In Ohio County, transportation officials are advising of a day-long road closure on US-231 on Saturday, Dec. 8.
Officials plan to close the route near mile marker 5, not far from Southern Elementary School, in order to replace a cross drain.
It's about a mile south of the Western Kentucky Parkway Exit 75 Interchange.
Officials expect this to be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be no marked detour.
Officials estimate about 3,000 vehicles travel the section of the route every day.
