Senate Passes Farm Bill, includes Senator McConnell’s Hemp Farming Act

One of the most talked about topics in Congress the Bipartisan Farm Bill was passed by the U.S. Senate on Thursday.
In it, Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnell's Hemp Farming Act, which would fully legalize industrial hemp and remove it from the list of federal controlled substances.
It also gives states the opportunity to become the primary regulators of hemp production, allows hemp researchers to apply for competitive federal grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and makes hemp farmers eligible to apply for crop insurance.
