Although initial reports from WKU's Text Alert System and tweets from WKU Police Department indicated a shooting at Campus Evolution Apartments (CEV), after further interviews and investigations it has been determined that the shooting occurred along Creason St. and did not involve the complex, its residents/guests or any members of the CEV community.
"Both last night and today, BGPD have made clear to us that the shooting was not at Campus Evolution, and we have confirmed with them that those involved were not residents or guests of residents of our community. We have continued to work with BGPD throughout the day today and have sent out notices to our residents via text & on social media updating them and asking them to share any information they have about the incident with the police. Our residents’ safety & well-being, including their peace of mind, is our highest priority," said Brandon Hammond with Campus Evolution Apartments.
Ronnie Ward with the Bowling Green Police Department says the shooting happened at the corner of Creason and Robbinson.
Reports of shots fired at Campus Evolution, an off campus student living apartment complex in Bowling Green. The notification was sent from WKU's Emergency Alert system at 4:44 p.m. Saturday.
According to the Bowling Green Police Department, Olivier Shema, 18, of Bowling Green was shot once. Shema is being treated at a local hospital.
BGPD says they're working to locate the scene of the shooting but believe it may have happened at Creason St. and Robinson Ave.

After receiving calls of the suspect(s) being in the area of campus, additional units were sent to canvass the area.
