State Treasurer Allison Ball is in her first year as the state's top financial person.
She brought that message and discussion on a wide variety of financial topics to Bowling Green at the Kentucky Association of County Treasurer's Conference.
Ball says her main job is to serve as the state's monitor of money.
"I tell people that I'm the watchdog and all of you, you're the watchdog on that money, making sure money is going exactly where it's supposed to. The way I look at it, I always make sure things are constitutional and they're statutory," said Ball.
Ball is the youngest woman in statewide elected office in the country.
