With summer just around the corner and the semester coming to an end, many students are taking this time to enjoy the outdoors before gearing up for finals.

WKU hosted it's 24th annual Valleypalooza today as a way for students to de-stress and have fun.

This years theme was: Valleypalooza "Under Construction". Residence Life staff wore construction hats as a way to recognize the soon-to-open Hilltopper Residence Hall, set for completion in 2018.

Activities included a sandpit corn-hole, Jenga, bocce ball, birdhouse painting, jumping inflatables and more.

"Right before finals we wanted to give students a chance to have a little fun before they are buried in papers and final projects and all of that," says Eliza Jackson, WKU Student Housing and Residence Life.

"It's continued to grow and get big and it's something students look forward to every year".

Student Housing and Residence Life sponsors the event along with WKU Health and Wellness.

Finals week will begin Monday, May 8th.
