BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- If you ask any true Hilltoppers fan, they'll tell you, John Oldham's name is legendary at Western Kentucky University," first as an All-American athlete, then as head basketball coach, and finally as athletic director.
John Oldham is an icon, but he recently fell off a ladder onto his driveway while trying to change a light bulb. He broke both elbows and almost every bone in his face, yet, at the age of 92, he's coming back strong.
He was the guest on the May 8th edition of Sunday Conversations with Gene Birk.
As you would expect, the bills for Coach "O's" surgery, rehabilitation, and recovery are pretty staggering.
If you'd like to help the man who's given his entire life to WKU, you can donate at any "Franklin Bank and Trust" location, or click on the link next to this story to go the the "Care for Coach O" website.
