HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) -- The Kentucky Transportation Department says there will be short delays Wednesday for Northbound and Southbound I-65.
They say this will happen approaching Exit 91 interchange, due to a series of rolling road blocks.
Utility crews will be completing work on transmission lines over I-65 beginning at 8:30am.
Entrance ramps to I-65 South from Western Kentucky Parkway, Bluegrass Parkway and the Exit 94 interchange will be temporarily blocked during each round of rolling road blocks.
The entrance ramp to I-65 North from the Exit 86 interchange at Glendale will also be blocked during each round of rolling road blocks.
The cabinet say they are expecting between 4-6 rounds with each round lasting for approximately 30 minutes, beginning simultaneously at Milepoint 81 for I-65 North and at mile marker 101 for I-65 South.
After each round, traffic queues will be relieved before the next round begins.
They say Kentucky State Police and Scotty's Contracting Traffic Control will be managing these rolling road blocks.
The transportation cabinet says the work is a continuance of emergency repairs made two weeks ago following an ice weather event.
The cabinet has scheduled the advisory at this time in consideration of worker and motorist safety, lower traffic volume hours, available daylight and weather conditions.
13 News will update this advisory when operations are complete.
