Teenager lands in jail after pursuit in Christian County

CROFTON, KY. (WBKO) -- A Christian County teenager lands behind bars after leading police on a chase.

Sheriff's deputies say on February 10 they saw a Chevy Silverado spin its tires as it pulled out of a Huck's Gas Station.

The car then began to fishtail as it went down the road.

They say a trooper tried to stop the pickup but the driver kept going.

The pursuit ended when the driver identified as 18-year-old Jordan Shepherd lost control of the truck.

Police say it went through a ditch, into someone's yard, went back on the street and came to rest on Crofton Dawson Road.

Shepherd was charged with the following:

1.) Speeding 20 MPH over
2.) Reckless Driving
3.) Improper Start from Stopped Position
4.) Fleeing and Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
5.) Wanton Endangerment- 2nd Degree
6.) Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree
