The new year dawned on a FRIGID note Monday, with daytime highs not getting out of the teens for many. Tuesday morning will likely be our coldest since February 2015, with a low near 0 for Bowling Green and from 0 to -5 in many outlying spots. Wind chills could dip as low as -10 at times early Tuesday. We remain dry and quite cold despite a bit of moderation Wednesday. Another shot of bitter cold, arctic air arrives Wednesday night, with more sub-zero wind chills likely by Thursday morning. There's no appreciable warmup coming until late in the weekend, when we see a good round of (mostly) rain Sunday night into Monday.
