UPDATE: BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- We have a clarification to a story we brought you Thursday night. The Kentucky Career Center Office Of Employment And Training Said US Bank was closing its facility at 3170 Louisville Road and that is true. But no bank is closing.
US Bank Regional President Craig Browning says what is closing is the US Bank Home Mortgage Satellite Call Center. It is closing September 28 and relocating to Irving, Texas. But Browning says they are helping the 100-some employees this affects find other jobs.
"Some of those will have the opportunity to work home-based," said Browning. "Some will have the opportunity to work through Owensboro. There are several positions that will be relocated to a larger facility in Irving, Texas that we have."
Browning says the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce and the South Central Workforce First Response Team are also helping the call center employees find jobs. And he stresses that in no way are any of US Bank's branch locations being impacted by this call center closing. They are all remaining open.
Word comes from the Kentucky Career Center Office of Employment and Training that the US Bank Home Mortgage call center on Louisville Road in Bowling Green is closing.
The letter from the career center states, the US Bank Home Mortgage call center is giving notice of its intent to cease operations at the Louisville Road facility, affecting about 100 employees.
