After almost two decades of working at Western Kentucky University, Robbin Taylor is closing a chapter to start a new one.

Taylor is currently the Vice President of Public Affairs at WKU.

Taylor is leaving her position on the hill and will head to Frankfort, where she will work at a government relations firm called McCarthy Strategic Solutions.

Robbin says the decision to leave her alma mater was not an easy one.

"I think there just comes a point in your life when you want to do something new and different and I've been here for 18 years, I've been able to be involved in a lot of great things. The entire transformation of this campus over the last 20 years, I've been here for most of that and so it just seemed like the right time so I'm gonna take that plunge and do something new. "

Taylor will begin working in Frankfort on December first.

Even though she will begin work there, Taylor says Bowling Green will be home base.
