(WBKO) -- Clarence Glover established the Clarence Glover Equity and Inclusion Scholarship to help underrepresented students at Caverna High School take WKU Dual Credit classes. These courses allow high school students to receive credit from both their high school and WKU.

Originally from Horse Cave, Glover graduated from Caverna High School.

“I wanted to introduce them to college courses prior to their high school graduation so they could see if they like it,” he continued. “It came about that the best way to do this was to help pay for Dual Credit classes so they could experience WKU while still in high school,” said Glover.

Glover played basketball at WKU from 1969 to 1971 and was an integral part of the Hilltoppers run to the Final Four in 1971. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from WKU in 1971. Mr. Glover was selected in the first round of the NBA draft in 1971 and played for the Boston Celtics from 1972 to 1973.
