WKU Basketball Loses At #25 Washington In Season Opener

SEATTLE, Wash. (WBKo) --- 25th-ranked Washington outscored WKU 46-19 in the second half to hand the Hilltoppers a 73-55 defeat in WKU Basketball's regular-season opener Tuesday night in Seattle, Washington.

Noah Dickerson led the Huskies with 18 points while Jaylen Nowell added 17 points. Dominic Green, whose sister, Dee Dee Green, is a former WKU soccer player and is currently employed as a WBKO-TV news producer, finished with six points.

Jared Savage led WKU with 15 points while Taveion Hollingsworth added 14 points. Charles Bassey, in his first collegiate regular-season game, tallied 11 points, 12 rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.

The Hilltoppers return to action on Saturday at 6 p.m. when they host UT-Martin in their regular-season home opener at E.A. Diddle Arena.
