WKU celebrates national volunteer week

Across our nation, many campuses and communities celebrate National Volunteer Week in April.

This year Western Kentucky University offices are coming together to promote campus and community opportunities to volunteer and celebrate service together.

WKU students are able to take part of this weeks events by lending a helping hand or donating to various service activities.

This year, National Volunteer Week runs April 17-20.

April 17:

Humane Society Pet a Pup

Time: 12-2 p.m.

Location: DSU/ Minton Lawn

April 18:

One Bus, One Cause, ... for Lost River Cave

Time: 11-5 p.m.

Location: DSU/ Minton Lawn

April 19:

Student United Way's Bargain for a Benefit

Time: 11-3 p.m.

Location: DSU/ Minton Lawn

April 20:

WKU Day of Service

Time: 12-4 p.m.

Location: Jones Jagger Hall

April 21:

International Center of Kentucky Clean up

Time: 1-3 p.m.

Location: International Center
