WKU film students are now certified "level one" stunt fighters.

Jackie Gerhardy from Brazen Action Design out of Los Angeles and her stunt crew taught WKU students in a basic combat stunt workshop.

"We were invited to WKU to teach the students basic fight choreography, as well as helping them with their thesis films and breaking down their stunts and their scripts," said Gerhardy.

Students were taught how to choreograph a fight scene, how to work with actors and other stunt performers, and how to safely perform stunts.

Students were given the chance to practice and work hands-on with the professional stunt performers.

"They had a lot of energy. Everyone was so excited to actually learn something new. Some had a little bit of a background, some didn't. But, I think everybody walked away just a little it more skilled today. There is so much to learn in this industry, and so, we gave them a brief overview and they definitely took it and ran with it," said Charlit Dae, Braxen Action Design Stunt Performer.

Brazen Action Design performers emphasized safety throughout the workshop when performing stunts and learning choreography.
