WKU opens new parking structure
Today WKU cut the ribbon on Parking Structure Number 3, which boasts 700 new parking spaces on The Hill.
It's located next to the Creason Street Parking Deck, adjacent to a WKU bus stop, and is being paid for by a 30-dollar student fee each semester.
"We have several features of the garage that make it sustainable. That includes a new charging station, air pump, LED lights," Dr. Tougas, Director of Parking and Transportation Services.
Dr. Tougas says the parking structure opened on time and came in under budget.
Student Government Association President Andi Dahmer says this was a student-led initiative to get Parking Structure #3 built on campus.
