Western Kentucky University saw a big increase in donations and gifts for the 2018 Giving Tuesday event.

WKU received $118,127.57 in total as a result of the global movement for a 22 percent increase compared to 2017.

“Henry Hardin Cherry’s ‘Life, More Life’ motto correlates with President Caboni’s desire for WKU students to prepare to not only make a good living, but to make a good life for themselves and those around them,” said John Paul Blair, Interim Vice President for Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement. “The Hill is fortunate to have so many alumni and friends continue to invest in and inspire our campus.”

There were 477 donors in total, with 68 being first-time donors to Western Kentucky University.
