Winter came roaring back Wednesday! Wind chills have dropped into the teens and 20s as arctic high pressure takes over. Temperatures more typical for January will be with us for the remainder of the week. The late week chill sets us up for the good chance of some wintry weather late Friday night into Saturday. That's when a mix of rain and snow is likely as our next system moves through. Some snow accumulation looks possible - mainly late Friday night into early Saturday morning - but at this time, amounts look minor for Southern Kentucky while locations further north may see more significant accumulation. Temps will make some recovery back above seasonal norms by the middle of next week.
