French Toast Casserole


1 loaf french bread - 13-16 oz.
8 eggs
2 cups half & half
1 cup milk
2 T sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
dash salt


Slice bread into 20 slices-1 inch each. Arrange slices in generously buttered 9 x 13 baking dish. In large bowl, combine eggs, half & half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt then beat until blended with whisk. Pour over bread slices making sure all areas are covered. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake 40 minutes.

Serves 6-8
