LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) --- 16th-ranked Louisville fought off a final-minute Clemson rally to edge the Tigers 56-55 in an ACC college basketball matchup Saturday afternoon at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
Christen Cunningham scored 18 points to lead the victorious Cardinals, which led 56-49 with 17 seconds remaining only to have Clemson close to within one in the final seconds. The Tigers' Marquise Reed had a last-second shot attempt by the Cardinals' Jordan Nwora. John Newman III grabbed the offensive rebound but his shot attempt was off the mark as time expired.
Nwora added 11 points for Louisville, as the Cardinals improved to 9-4 in ACC competition and 18-8 overall.
