Barber is a 6-foot-2, 270-pound defensive end from Louisville. He’s considered a three-star prospect who reportedly has been offered by WKU, Cincinnati, Indiana and Purdue, among others.
A senior at Doss High School, Barber has 14 tackles – one for a loss – and two sacks through three games this season. Barber had 48 stops and a fumble recovery his junior season.
Barber was an all-state selection in 2017 and named one of the top 50 college prospects in the state of Kentucky by the Louisville Courier-Journal.
Barber joins defensive lineman Stephone Atkinson (Lake Minneola, Fla.), South Warren High School wide receiver Clayton Bush, offensive lineman Wes Dorsey (Knoxville, Tenn.), offensive lineman Jordan Flack (Somerville, Ala.), defensive end Brock Higdon (Pelham, Ala.), offensive tackle Garrett Jennings (Elizabethton, Tenn.), running back Terrell Jennings (Jacksonville, Fla.), linebacker Desmond Johnson (Valdosta, Ga.), quarterback Tylan Morton (Hinds Community College), kicker Cory Munson (Warner Robins, Ga.), quarterback Javion Posey (Greenville, Ala.), offensive tackle Daylen Powell (Summerville, S.C.) and defensive back Tavares Springer (Nashville).
