Former WKU volleyball player out of the hospital after bone marrow transplant

Former WKU volleyball player Alyssa Cavanaugh tweeted on Wednesday that she is out of the hospital after almost 5 1/2 weeks of being there.

She also tweeted that she has to stay close to the hospital where she had her bone marrow transplant until June so she'll remain in Cincinnati for the next few months.

In January she said her cancer was in remission. Cavanaugh has been battling leukemia and was in search of a bone marrow donor. She found her father was the right match.
