BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Jackson McCool from Warren East Middle School plays on the FBU Team Kentucky middle school football All-star team.

This is pretty significant because Jackson is the first player ever to be named to Team Kentucky from Warren East Middle School.

FBU stands for Football University. Football University is the recognized leader in developing and enhancing the ability and skill of serious football players in middle school and high school.

Jackson and Team Kentucky will make their way to Naples, Florida to play in the FBU National Championship tournament. This comes after they were able to defeat teams from Kansas City and Indiana in the regional tournament.

Team Kentucky only picks the 40 best football players in the entire state to play on their team.

The FBU National Championship tournament celebrates and promotes youth football through uniting all-star athletes of all backgrounds from across the United States in a true, one-of-a-kind national tournament.

The FBU National Championship crowns a national champion from brackets in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th. Jackson and Team Kentucky will be competing in the 7th grade division.
