Kentucky Wins VRBO Citrus Bowl

ORLANDO, Fla. (WBKO) --- 16th-ranked Kentucky capped off one of the best seasons in the Wildcats college football history by defeating 13th-ranked Penn State 27-24 at the New Year's Day VRBO Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida.

With the victory, the Wildcats won 10 games in a season for the first time since the 1977 Kentucky team won 10 games. It's just the third time in school history that the Wildcats football has won at least 10 games. Kentucky's 1950 team won 11 games.

Kentucky running back Benny Snell rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns while Kentucky All-American defensive standout Josh Allen recorded three sacks.

Kentucky finishes the season 10-3.
