The Western Kentucky volleyball team hosts Cincinnati at 6 p.m. Tuesday inside E.A. Diddle Arena.
WKU enters the tilt with an 8-5 record while the Bearcats sit at 9-3.
Western and Cincinnati have faced three common opponents including Saint Louis, Miami (Ohio) and East Tennessee State. Both sides swept Saint Louis and took down ETSU. WKU claimed a four-set win over Miami while Cincinnati fell to the RedHawks in five sets in Oxford, Ohio.
Tuesday's match marks the Bearcats’ first non-tournament match of the season. UC is 1-2 in away matches on the year. The Bearcats returned nine of 13 letterwinners from a 13-19 campaign a year ago while also bringing back four starters plus their libero.
In the all-time series between WKU and Cincinnati, UC owns a 17-6 advantage. The lone meeting between the sides since both have joined their current conferences took place in 2016 when WKU took down the Bearcats in a three-set sweep on The Hill.
