WKU's Taveion Hollingsworth cited for marijuana possession

Western Kentucky basketball sophomore guard Taveion Hollingsworth was cited for marijuana possession Monday night, according to the WKU Police Department.

WKU did not disclose what the violation was but Hollingsworth served a one-game suspension during Tuesday's exhibition against Campbellsville for what the school announced was "a violation of team rules."

"Taveion is a guy that I least expect to do anything not right," head coach Rick Stansbury said Tuesday. "Basically it was a decision we found out about (Tuesday) and have to handle it.

"He's got to learn from that situation, he's got to grow from it, accept his responsibility and his accountability of it and get better from it."

Hollingsworth is expected to play in Saturday's exhibition finale with Kentucky Wesleyan.
