Burlington to open first store in SOKY region

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Have you been on Gary Farm Boulevard or Westpark Drive in Bowling Green recently? If so, you may have seen a new sign indicating a new store being added to the SOKY region -- Burlington.

The Bowling Green location is the seventh in the State of Kentucky, joining a couple of stores each in Louisville and Lexington, one in Owensboro, and a location in Paducah. The timetable of the opening of the location at 2300 Gary Farm Boulevard is unknown at this time.

Burlington, which is formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, is a nation-wide off-price retail store with a range of products being sold from clothing to furniture to toys. The company, which boasts over 1,000 stores, was officially founded in 1972, but was bought out in 2006 by Bain Capital Partners.
