EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - In Evansville, the trial for a mother charged in her child’s death has been pushed back.

24-year-old Destiny Rhoades was the mother of 4-year-old Octavia Aquino.

Authorities say Octavia was found unresponsive last June while being taken care of by Rhoades’ boyfriend.

She died a few days later.

Court records show instead of going on trial next week, Rhoades will now go on trial in July.

She’s charged with neglect resulting in death, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor who commits murder.

That minor, 16-year-old Christian Gonzalez, was found guilty of Octavia’s murder earlier this year.

He was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
