GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) – One person is dead and another is injured after a shooting in Glasgow.

According to Glasgow Police, they are investigating this as a domestic incident.

Police said they responded to a shots fired call around 9:50 a.m. on Friday at the Dellwood Apartments off of South Green Street.

When officers arrived on the scene, they said they found a female juvenile injured. While officers were treating her they heard another gunshot.

They then found a man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The man was identified as 19-year-old Taeron J. Legg.

Neighbors at the apartment complex say shootings and other violence are not common there.

“This is a quiet place around here,” said Dorothy Wooten, a resident who has lived at Dellwood Apartments for seven years. “It’s just like a family here.”

A GoFundMe was started for the juvenile. Access it here.

According to the fund page, Legg and the juvenile share a child. The two had recently broken up.

The juvenile was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to her legs. She was treated and released, according to her grandfather, Antonio Yanes, who confirmed the information in a phone call with WBKO.

Nearby South Green Elementary was placed on lockdown while police investigated the shooting. The school resumed its day after receiving clearance from police.
